Four or five years ago, I planted some raspberry and blackberry starts that I got from a neighbor down the street. Until now, I hadn't gotten any berries at all. I finally got some this year. I ate the first ones yesterday.
I have about another dozen or so berries out there waiting to ripen. They weren't as sweet as berries you get other places in the country, (like back East) but I think that's ok, I kind of liked these.
I look forward to four or five years from now, when I can get another two dozen or so berries again...
