Kate raced in the annual Hershey track meet at her school on Friday. I have no idea why they call it the Hershey track, but they do. They seem to stretch the thing out all day long when they do it. (They don't run it like a track meet, they run a race, piddle around a bit, announce some winners, play some music, then think about running another race.) I think they do it to make sure the teachers don't have to teach at all that day.
Anyhow, Kate's race of choice this year was the 4x100 relay. No wardrobe malfunction this year during the race, no lack of sneakers in the morning.
The result? 3rd place in their heat, 5th place overall. Good enough for a ribbon. Nice work, Kate.
