Is Kyle there?

From time to time recently, I have gotten calls for some dude named Kyle. The guy on the other end gets fairly insistant, claiming that he knows Kyle is "there", and he wants to talk to him. Then he calls back later. Then he has someone else call for him. They all think it's a joke that I won't let them talk to Kyle.

They've been silent for a couple of weeks, but called back tonight looking for Kyle. On the third call, I reminded the guy that Kyle wasn't here 3 weeks ago when he kept calling, either.

Several minutes later, I got a call from the same number as mine, but a different area code. (This number, however, was not the factor of 2 primes, but factors into 8 primes.) This call was from Kyle. He was calling to apologize for his friend, who often forgets that he needs to dial an area code when he calls certain people. He sounded fairly embarrassed for his friend.

At least now when the dude calls looking for Kyle now, I can remind him of what area code he needs to dial when calling Kyle...
