Looking at my college transcripts, I ended up retaking 10 total classes all in all. I could have graduated 2 full years sooner. Little too late to figure that one out now...
The repeats make the semester GPA's change. They don't count towards that older semester's GPA once you repeat it. I have several rock bottom semesters that have risen more that a full point. I have a Dean's list semester now. (My grades in college were generally bi-polar...) Maybe I should go talk to the head of the Math department about that one, maybe I could get a posthumous mention.
