Have you seen those commercials for the "Cash for Gold" places? No? Maybe they are only on late at night. The premise is that you take your unwanted jewelery, send it in to them, they send you money back in the mail as they melt your gold down.
Every time I see these commercials, I wonder if these places are just there as an easy place for thieves to dump their merchandise off without risk of getting caught. It's not like these places can verify the stuff they are buying is not stolen, right?
Anyway, this evening (and by evening, I mean 2:15am) I saw a new one. There is a place that will buy your luxury watches. You send them in, they send you money back. The watches can be in any condition, "they don't even have to work!"
Next they will have places that collect your unwanted wallets and credit cards...
